Graham Melstrand
Executive Vice President, Community Health and Wellness
As the executive vice president of community health and wellness, Melstrand develops and aligns ACE strategies to support and advance the ACE mission and vision with key stakeholders including communities, government, and healthcare. In his role he provides oversight for ACE’s community education and outreach, health advocacy and government relations efforts.
Melstrand represents ACE on numerous advisory boards and committees including the Coalition for the Registration of Exercise Professionals (CREP), the Physical Activity Alliance (PAA), and the Special Olympics Fitness Advisory Council, and has previously served on the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (COAES) and the Facility Certification Committee of the Medical Fitness Association (MFA).
Melstrand holds a bachelor's degree in physical education and athletic training from California State University, Long Beach. As a competitive cyclist, Melstrand participated in the U.S. Olympic Trials (1984, 1988) and was a member of the U.S. National Team Development Program (1983 - 1990).
