Unlocking client potential by bringing physical activity and nutrition together
Physical activity and nutrition are both vitally important to preventing disease, maintaining fitness, and improving sports performance, however, few adults meet recommendations, with detrimental effects on their overall health. This is an area where well-trained exercise professionals and dietitians can play a critical role—facilitating positive lifestyle behaviors through interventions that establish physical activity routines and healthy eating patterns.
In this video training, you will explore the individual and combined effects of physical activity and nutrition interventions provided by fitness professionals. You’ll also gain knowledge of how to leverage multidisciplinary approaches that establish positive behavior changes in adults and learn how evidence from exercise and nutrition practitioner guidelines align with the ACE IFT® Model, along the health, fitness, and performance spectrums.
Led by Justin Robinson, MA, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach, this course will help you understand how to tailor guidelines for the general population to meet your client’s needs across a variety of settings.
Upon completion, you will be able to:
Explain recent updates from evidence-based guidelines for nutrition and physical activity interventions for the general population
Provide individualized recommendations for improving or maintaining health, fitness, and performance
Develop tailored plans from recommendations for the general population, while staying within your scope of practice
Reviews
Thank you for a very informative course.
Boring and irrelavent. Man was way to preoccupied with scope of practice and whose job is whose to worry about teaching anyone anything. We learned that as chapter one in every certification I have.
Great speaker. Good information. Majority of information seemed to be based on 'scope of practice,' rather than nutrition for client ideas.
