Creating Sustainable, Healthy Change
While clients might be eager to pursue healthier and more active lives, the key to maintaining lifestyle changes is through a holistic approach that includes exercise, nutrition and behavior modification. Behavior change is an integral part of sustainable, healthy change—but successfully implementing a behavior change program with your clients requires knowledge, skill and practice. The Trifecta for Change: How to be a Top Personal Trainer video training will teach you a realistic, client-centered approach to empower these sustainable lifestyle behavior changes, so you can inspire your clients to embrace their journey to a healthy lifestyle versus viewing it as a chore.
Led by Anthony J. Wall, Director of Strategic Partnerships at ACE, this engaging video training will help you understand the role of behavior change in creating sustainable lifestyle changes for your clients and provide them with the tools to achieve lasting results. Learning behavior change skills will also help you make a positive impact in the global epidemic of inactivity-related chronic disease.
You will learn:
- The three primary pillars of health coaching: nutrition coaching, physical-activity counseling and behavior modification
- To use a behavior assessment tool to determine an individual’s readiness to change and their willingness to engage in physical activity
- To understand the role of providing basic and appropriate assessments to help facilitate behavior change
Reviews
I appreciated the reminder to use the lower level easier to access assessments. I wanted a refresher on these. I liked the speakers style. I also appreciated the reminder to work as a partner who empowers the client to come up with an action plan for themselves, rather than dictate one to them.
